No venue decorator can compete with the Great Smoky Mountains. Each season brings something extraordinary: spring wildflowers carpeting the mountainsides, summer's lush green canopy, fall's legendary foliage, and winter's dramatic, mist-wrapped peaks. Your wedding photos will be timeless.

  • Most visited national park in America — 12+ million visitors annually
  • Four distinct seasons, each stunning in its own way
  • 200+ days of sunshine per year
  • Mild climate — even winter weddings are comfortable
  • 800+ miles of hiking trails for adventurous wedding parties
  • Countless scenic spots for engagement and wedding photography

Our Mountain Lodge

Big Lodge Weddings sits in the foothills of the Smokies, offering panoramic mountain views from our 12,000 sq ft private estate. Everything happens in one location: your ceremony in our chapel or outdoor space, reception in the great room, and 56 guests sleeping under one roof. It's a complete mountain wedding experience.

Four-Season Smoky Mountain Weddings

Unlike many wedding destinations, the Smoky Mountains are beautiful year-round. Each season offers a completely different experience for your celebration.

  • Spring (March–May): Wildflowers, dogwoods, mild 60–75°F, fresh mountain air
  • Summer (June–August): Lush canopy, warm evenings, perfect for outdoor ceremonies
  • Fall (September–November): World-famous foliage, crisp air, golden-hour light
  • Winter (December–February): Cozy lodge atmosphere, potential snow, off-peak pricing
